The New University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine

The new UCF College of Medicine located in beautiful Orlando, will start with its charter class in fall 2009. Talk about a change in starting a medical school. The new medical school is billed as a “Medical School for the 21st Century.” All new students of its charter class were given full scholarships, and it is estimated to generate $7.6 billion in economic activity, with roughly 30,000 jobs, $459.9 million in tax revenue, (more…)

University of Central Florida Professor Creates Two Compounds For Destroying Breast Cancer Tumors

University of Central Florida (UCF) Associate Professor, Dr. James Turkson, who worked with researchers at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, the Beckman Research Institute and the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the City of Hope National Medical Center, has created two new compounds that will help in the fight to destroy breast cancer tumors.
